I have been searching for years for a protein bar that is in line with my dietary preferences, without success, until now. I wrote 'healthy' in the title, in inverted commas because it seems everyone's definition of healthy differs. Essentially, for me, I was searching for a protein bar that was free from gluten, dairy, soy protein, vegetable oils and artificial sweeteners and the 'itols' (xylitol, erythritol, mannitol etc.) - you can see why it has taken me so long! And the fact that it both tastes good and boasts a great macro-nutrient breakdown makes it all the more impressive. 11/10 - well done Julian Bakery; I will definitely buy again. Thanks from Australia.

It is a little on the expensive side, but it is probably a lot more expensive to source than, say, stevia for instance. I bought this as a replacement for stevia which I had suspected was contributing to my gut issues. Pleased to say that this has definately done the trick. Only downside is it doesnt exactly dissolve in some liquids, clumping a bit. So a shaker bottle or blender for smoothies & shakes is recommended. Other than that very pleased with the purchase.

Whilst I'll admit that it is still a fair way off from the popular 'sports protein bars' in terms of taste, its also a long way off (in a good sense) in terms of the ingredients & macros. I think that given what Julian Bakery had to play with in terms of ingredients, they've done a good job. A tip: IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A MICROWAVE - USE IT! ~5-15 seconds (depends on the wattage) & its like a nice fudge brownie!
