I have used this splitter for more than a year now and find it pretty convenient. I use it to split small pill in four pieces. Precision isn't perfect but good enough. It depends on how you position a pill and require some skills to do it right, especially when you are trying to split half a pill. I use a toothpick because my pills are very small. But still is is way better than using a knife.
How did I not know these exist? I’ve been breaking these apart with my hands for years. Not sure why I didn’t think something like this would exist but I didn’t want to hold it down with a knife. This you easily put in the rubber and shut.
This product is very effective...the blade is sharp and gives a clean cut. Very little pressure is required to cut tablets. I have seen some cute colorful pill splitters, but I like the case with no color and a bright cutting surface , as it is easier for use (to see the tablet once placed inside). If available, I may still purchase a colorful one in addition to this one, as the splitter is small enough to carry in a bag when on the go...I could use an extra, and the quality of this brand is excellent.
So handy! I bought them mainly to give friends & relatives samples of vitamins I use when they come over because we always end up talking about nutrition and I've been studying it and experimenting with supplements et al. for over 50 years. But they have ended up being useful for so many other last minute, off the cuff things, like packing a few makeup remover pads on vacation without having to take the whole jar. Also great that they can be marked. Very handy purchase and good quality - they stay closed!
Pretty easy and convenient, I bought different cutters from here and this one is the best by far. It cuts even really hard pills and doesn’t crumble them. Also you have little storage space inside. The plastic is strong and steady. It’s small, so you can keep it in your purse.
