This shampoo works on type 4 hair too!!! I was surprised at how CLEAN my hair felt without feeling too stripped. It is not moisturizing but also not stripping. The scent is herbal and almost medicinal. It is soothing and I felt like my scalp was being treated as I shampooed as opposed to simply being cleansed, which my very dry and sensitive scalp loved!! It is pretty concentrated and has a gel-like consistency so a little goes a very long way. It is made from natural products so there are many benefits to your hair as well.

This review is for the Dry-Normal formulation. The shampoo itself is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. I love how it lathers easily and cleanses the scalp without drying it, and it doesn’t tangle my hair. It has a nice, subtle scent that isn’t irritating to this sensitive nose. Highly recommended!
This shampoo cleans really well and gives my long fine hair feel some lightness and a tad of volume back. My scalp feels really clean, which is a relaxing sensation. A little goes a long way and it lathers more than any shampoo I've ever tried. The ingredients are clean. I love this shampoo.
Lathers up really really well despite having no SLS. Lightly scented and it’s a very pleasant one too. Used it once every other day and am happy with how clean my (normal, unpermed, uncoloured and straight) hair feels without being stripped dry. Good consistency in terms of texture — easy to pour into smaller bottles for travel yet won’t dribble all over you as you pour it out.
Wow, this shampoo works great with just the smallest amount. I love the pure ingredients and mild herbal scent. The first time I used just a small amount and it was too much. This bottle should last a good while as it only takes a very little to get a rich lather.
I've been using this shampoo for several months now and I love the fact that it is deeply cleansing without being stripping. It has helped heal my dry scalp and has kept my hair healthy overall. It also has a nice, herbal smell to it. I hope they never discontinue this shampoo because I love it!
First of all I LOVE the ingredients, all natural, nothing yucky. I bought this one for my 7 year old daughter who has a typical vata constitution, which means her hair tends to be thin, dry and lacking luster. This shampoo is beautifully nourishing and leaves her hair feeling soft and healthy. Will definitely be our new shampoo for her.
This shampoo is great for everyone. I originally bought it for my daughter who suffers from scalp issues but then I tried it myself and really like it. It is balancing and makes your scalp really healthy. Calms down any itchiness. It does not give moisturized or silky hair so you'll need either a conditioner or hair oil afterwards but I really like the benefits of this shampoo. The ayurvedic smell is quite strong of course but it didn't bother me at all. Rinses easily without leaving any residue, a bit too squeaky clean hair (feels a bit stripped) but great for the calp. I also helped me a lot with the loss of volume on my thinning hair. Great product with a very fair price. Lasts for ever.
Quality is really good. It lathers up unlike other similar products. Size is okay but if you use little bit, it will last longer. First time I used it, I felt my scalp so clean but it didn’t dry it up. Over time, I think this will bring live to my hair again. I don’t know about the scent but I added essential oils for extra benefit. For example Rosemary oil
